T&T's Cox wins Nevis Half Marathon

Curtis Cox whipped his rivals to secure the top prize in the Nevis Half Marathon, on Sunday.

The Trinidad and Tobago runner completed the 13.1-mile course in one hour, 17 minutes, 15 seconds, for a huge cushion on second-placed Steve Duzanson (1:27:10), of St Martin. Vietnam's Aubrey McKenzie (1:32.21) finished third.
Nevisian Vanessa Williams topped the women's field in 1:47:27.

There were also 10K and 5K races on Sunday.

Nevisian Delvon Clarke triumphed in the men's 10K in 39 minutes, 40 seconds, while the women's race was won by Italian Monica Ceccon in 45:30.

Another Nevisian, Jaleal Huggins, clocked 22:55 to secure the men's 5K title.

The women's crown went to American Alexandria Adler (25:40).
