McShine-Bell’s husband, American Jared Bell emerged victorious in the men’s race with a 16:10 run.

“I was looking forward to see where I am strength-wise right now in my training,” McShine-Bell told the Express. “It was a very low key 5k and not very much competition, but I was happy with the results and of course having my husband run with me.”

McShine-Bell was more than six minutes faster than the runner-up in the women’s race.
