TT Masters shine at NACAC Championships

Trinidad and Tobago’s track and field masters shone at the 2014 North, Central American and Caribbean World Master Athletics Championships held recently in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Irma Riley was quite impressive, walking away with a total of six medals - three gold and three silver.

She struck gold in the 70-74 shot put, javelin and discus throw while taking home the silver in the long jump, high jump and triple jump.

Oswald Rogers was the star of the show, however, leaving with six medals, all being gold. He won the 75-79 long jump, 300m hurdles, 400m, 200m, 100m and was a member of the victorious 4x100m relay team.

The 31 member contingent took part in the four-day championships last weekend and left with 69 medals with 34 gold, 28 silver and seven bronze.
