Coach Alleyne-Forte passes on

Athletics coach Learie Alleyne-Forte has died. Alleyne-Forte had been ailing for about a year, and passed away yesterday at the San Fernando General Hospital.

Alleyne-Forte was the father of 2012 Olympic 4x400 metres bronze medallist Ade Alleyne-Forte, as well as Osei Alleyne-Forte. Learie Alleyne-Forte was the coach at the Southern Athletics club, and was overseeing the training of promising teen sprinter Adell Colthrust.
