London 2017 4x400m champions are TTOC’s Sportsman of the Year

Mark Pouchet :: Trinidad Express :: 30.12.2017

"It is all about the team and teamwork. I couldn't have done it without the rest of my team and it feels really great," Team TTO athlete Rennie Quow was reflecting on the historic Team TTO men's 4x400 IAAF World Championship title-winning team whose members were jointly named Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) Sportsman of the Year on Friday night.

It was the first time a team had been bestowed the honour by the TTOC, an award revealed at the 23rd edition of the TTOC Annual Awards Gala at the Hyatt Regency. Meanwhile sprinter Michelle-Lee Ahye, who was not present at the show, was named TTOC Sportswoman of the Year for the second year in a row.
