Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 10.02.2018

Jereem "The Dream" Richards scorched the track at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix IAAF World Indoor Tour meet, in Boston, USA, late yesterday. The Trinidad and Tobago track star stopped the clock at 32.10 seconds to grab gold in the men's 300 metres. The clocking, a new national indoor record, earned Richards seventh spot on the all-time world indoor performance list.

Grenadian Bralon Taplin (32.50) and American Vernon Norwood (33.05) finished second and third, respectively. T&T's Renny Quow was a non-finisher.

Meanwhile, Deon Lendore triumphed in the men's 400m. The T&T quarter-miler clocked 46.25 seconds to finish well ahead of silver medallist Steven Gayle (47.43) of Jamaica. Bronze went to T&T's Machel Cedenio in 47.86.
