Hat-trick Borel leads the world

CLEOPATRA BOREL completed a hat-trick of victories in Chile, last Saturday. The 2016 Olympic finalist threw 18.20 metres to emerge victorious in the women's shot put at a throwing meet held at the National Stadium in Santiago.

Last Wednesday, Borel struck gold at another meet at Chile's National Stadium, the Trinidad and Tobago athlete throwing the iron ball 18.60m to move into top spot on the 2018 world outdoor performance list. And two Saturdays ago, Borel produced a 17.93m effort for gold at a meet in Temuco.

Cherisse Murray captured a throwing double at the Mesa Indoor meet in Arizona, USA. Murray was the class of the women's shot put field, the Central Arizona College freshman grabbing gold with a 15.41m throw. And in the weight throw, the 24-year-old topped the field at 15.18m.
