Jereem, Hackett warm up strong

Jereem "The Dream" Richards and Semoy Hackett warmed up for the April 4-15 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, with comfortable victories in the United States, last Friday.

Hackett captured the women's sprint double at the University of North Florida (UNF) Spring Break Invitational.

The Trinidad and Tobago athlete won the 100 metres dash in 11.51 seconds for a comfortable cushion on American Torie Robinson, the runner-up in 11.64. And in the 200m, Hackett topped the field in 23.18 seconds, forcing American Jessica Beard to settle for second in 23.56.
