What Josanne Lucas started, Michelle-Lee Ahye is carrying on. Monday night in the Gold Coast, Ahye raised the bronze bar Lucas had established at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, to gold.

What on earth she must have been thinking as she collapsed on the track, out of breath after leading the field in the 100 metres final from start to finish? Was she thinking of her mother and other family members back on Haig Street, Carenage, and how they were feeling? Or did a certain Ato Boldon's "king of nothing" social media outburst come flooding back?
