Deon Lendore led the way as Trinidad and Tobago athletes captured seven titles at the 2018 Whitsuntide Games, held at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in St George's, Grenada, on the weekend.

Lendore stopped the clock at a personal best 20.59 seconds—a new meet record—to strike gold in the men's 200 metres. Grenadians Phillip Marcelle and Kurt Modeste earned silver and bronze, respectively, clocking 20.78 and 20.96. T&T's Jerod Elcock finished fourth in 21.21.

There was a Games record too for Andwuelle Wright, the T&T athlete disturbing the sand at 7.90 metres to claim top spot in the men's long jump. Wright made light work of his rivals, second-placed Alan Alais of French Guiana managing just a 7.38m leap.
