Coach Persad pleads with Minister Cudjoe for urgent action

Veteran coach Gunness Persad is concerned about the condition of the Manny Ramjohn Stadium running track, and is calling on Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Shamfa Cudjoe to fix it before it deteriorates further.
"I'm asking the minister to pay a visit to the stadium," Persad told the Express. "The material is raising up in the last 25 metres on the home straight. With the rainy season coming, water will seep under the track, and it will be completely destroyed."
