Ahye 8th in Lausanne 200
Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 07.07.2018Michelle-Lee Ahye finished eighth in the women's 200 metres event at the Athletissima IAAF Diamond League meet in Lausanne, Switzerland, yesterday. The Trinidad and Tobago sprinter got to the line in 23.66 seconds.
Gabrielle Thomas was the class of the field, the American grabbing gold in 22.47. Netherlands athlete Jamile Samuel pick up silver with a 22.68 run, with bronze going to Jamaican Shericka Jackson in 22.84.

The Athletissima 200 was Ahye's second half-lap race this season. On May 4, the 26-year-old track star finished second at a meet in Texas, USA, in 23.37 seconds.
