WRIGHT STUFF: Andwuelle jumps to CAC bronze

Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: Trinidad Express :: 01.08.2018

Andwuelle Wright kept his cool at the Rafael Cotes Stadium here in Barranquilla, Colombia, on Tuesday night, producing the best of his seven leaps in the final round of competition to claim Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games bronze for Trinidad and Tobago.

Yes, Wright was forced to jump seven times in the six-round competition, after a technical glitch saw his fourth attempt failing to register on the computerised system. But the 20-year-old was undaunted, displaying a maturity beyond his years to stay in the medal hunt.
