Gittens just misses NACAC podium
Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: Trinidad Express :: 11.08.2018Tyra Gittens was just short of the podium at the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Senior Track and Field Championships in Toronto, Canada, yesterday. The Trinidad and Tobago athlete disturbed the sand at 6.25 metres to finish fourth in the women's long jump.
In a close contest for gold, Sha'keela Saunders jumped 6.60m to edge fellow American Quanesha Burks (6.59m) into the silver medal position. Bronze went to Jamaican Tisanna Hickling (6.38m).
