Ruebin Walters struck gold in the men's 110 metres hurdles at the Louisiana State University (LSU) Invitational meet in Louisiana, USA, last Saturday. The University of Alabama student stopped the clock at 13.54 seconds.
Tyra Gittens picked up silver in the women's high jump with a 1.74 metres clearance. The Texas A&M University athlete won the 100m hurdles "B" race in 13.47 seconds. And in the javelin, she finished sixth with a personal best throw of 41.10m.
Alabama's Portious Warren seized silver in the women's discus with a 47.00m effort. In the shot put, Warren threw 16.86m to finish third.
LSU sprinter Zakiya Denoon secured fourth spot in the women's 200m in a personal best 23.04 seconds. Alabama's Mauricia Prieto clocked 23.41 for sixth spot in the same race. Denoon was sixth in the 100m dash in 11.40, while Prieto finished seventh in the 100m "B" race in 11.76.
Texas A&M's Infinite Tucker got home in 51.37 seconds for fourth spot in the men's 400m hurdles. Janeil Bellille was sixth in the women's 400m hurdles in 58.17.
Akanni Hislop clocked a wind-aided 20.80 seconds to finish second in the men's 200m "B" race. His LSU teammate, Xavier Mulugata was fourth in the men's 100m "D" race in 10.69. And in the 100m "C" race, Jamil James finished sixth in 11.02.
At the Desert Heat Classic, in Arizona, Asa Guevara emerged victorious in the men's 200m. The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) student stopped the clock at a personal best 20.51 seconds.
In Mississippi, Shaquille Singuineau grabbed gold in the Southern Miss Open men's shot put event. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette student threw the iron ball 17.01m. Two Saturdays ago, at the LSU Alumni Gold meet, in Louisiana, Singuineau finished sixth with a personal best 17.08m effort.
Ayanna Alexander was in winners' row at last Saturday's Virginia Grand Prix. The two-time Commonwealth Games medallist topped the women's triple jump with a 13.60m effort.
In California, Jehue Gordon topped the Adidas Steve Scott Invitational men's 110m hurdles event in 14.23 seconds. He was second in the 200m "B" race in 21.70. And Grand Canyon University's Latoya Gilding threw 45.42m for sixth spot in the women's discus.
At the National Relay Championships, in Arkansas, Dwight St Hillaire earned silver in the men's 400m in a personal best 45.48 seconds. His University of Kentucky teammate, Kayelle Clarke bagged women's 200m bronze in 23.08.

At the Penn Relays, in Pennsylvania, Long Island University (LIU)-Brooklyn student Kareem Roberts cleared the bar at 2.16m to snap up silver in the college men's high jump event.
The Trinidad and Tobago combination of Khalifa St Fort, Reyare Thomas, Kai Selvon and Sparkle McKnight clocked one minute, 37.42 seconds for silver in the USA vs the World Women's Sprint Medley relay. USA Red won in 1:35.20, with third spot going to Jamaica (1:38.31). In the USA vs the World Women's 4x100m relay, the T&T quartet—Selvon, Thomas, Kamaria Durant and St Fort—did not finish the race. The final exchange, between Durant and St Fort, was bungled.
The Queen's Royal College combination of Shaquille John, Dominic Cole, Arista Small and Shakeem McKay clocked 42.01 seconds to capture third spot in the high school boys' international 4x100m relay. In the high school boys' 4x400m event, the QRC team--Akil Boisson, David Pierce, McKay and Jahi Hernandez—produced a 3:19.64 run to finish second in their section. Fatima College's Saeed Pompey, Ethan Forde, Andwele Welch and Andrii Campbell combined for eighth spot in the same section in 3:27.04.
At the Pure Athletics NTC Spring Invitational, in Florida, Kyle Greaux clocked a fast 20.22 seconds to finish third in the men's 200m. Keston Bledman won the men's 100m "B" race in 10.30. And in the women's 100m, Kelly-Ann Baptiste was third in 11.23.
