Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 04.05.2018

Jereem "The Dream" Richards enjoyed a dream debut on the IAAF Diamond League circuit in Doha, Qatar, yesterday. The Trinidad and Tobago track star seized silver in the men's 200 metres in 19.99 seconds—the second fastest legal time of his career.

Typically strong in the second half of the race, Richards overhauled Turkey's reigning world champion Ramil Guliyev on the straight to claim second spot in the Doha Diamond League half-lap race. American Noah Lyles grabbed gold in a meet record and personal best time of 19.83 seconds, with bronze going to Guliyev in 20.11.
