Ahye, Greaux secure Boston street silver

Michelle-Lee Ahye and Kyle Greaux earned silver at the adidas Boost Boston Games, in the United States, yesterday. Ahye finished second in the women's 150 metres, while Greaux was the runner-up in the men's 200m.

Competing on an elevated, straight track on Boylston Street, Ahye clocked 16.60 seconds, the Trinidad and Tobago track star finishing behind Bahamian Shaunae Miller-Uibo. The reigning Olympic 400m champion stopped the clock at 16.37. Third spot went to American Shania Collins (16.83).

In the men's 200m, Greaux got home in 20.09 seconds, the T&T sprinter claiming the runner-up spot. Great Britain's Zharnel Hughes grabbed gold in 20 seconds flat, while bronze was bagged by Bahamian Steven Gardiner (20.49).

Jereem "The Dream" Richards picked up bronze in the men's 150m, the T&T athlete producing a 15.17 seconds run. Noah Lyles was in a race of his own, the American winning in a very impressive 14.69. Great Britain's Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake was a distant second in 15.10.

T&T's Kelly-Ann Baptiste clocked 11.35 seconds for fourth spot in the women's 100m dash. Murielle Ahoure topped the field in 11.09, the Ivory Coast sprinter finishing just ahead of American Aleia Hobbs (11.11). Another American, reigning 100m world champion Tori Bowie was third in 11.22.

At the Meeting d'Herouville in France, on Thursday, T&T's Jehue Gordon claimed third spot in the men's 400m hurdles. The 2013 world champion clocked 51.19 seconds to finish behind American Johnny Dutch, the winner in 50.06, and France's Mickael Bertil (50.94).

Semoy Hackett was third in the women's 100m dash. The T&T sprinter got to the line in 11.68 seconds. South Africa's Tebogo Mamathu won in 11.43, with second spot going to Gambia's Gina Bass (11.64).
