Kenneth Doldron funeral on Saturday

Retired Sgt Major WO1 Kenneth Doldron, who passed away at his the St Augustine Private Hospital on Sunday at the age of 80, will be laid to rest on Saturday.

The outspoken Doldron, who was President of the then National Amateur Athletics Association (NAAA) from 2001 to 2006, will be cremated at a private ceremony hosted by family members because of the restrictions caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Member of the public, friends and family members will also have the opportunity to view the late Doldron' body on Friday from 2:30 - 3:30 pm at the Belgrove Funeral Home in Tacarigua.

Doldron, who was looking forward to celebrating his 81st birthday on Monday, was responsible for Tobago hosting the Carifta Games in 2005 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium after he succeeded Francis Williams-Smith as president in 2001. He leaves to mourn his wife Lucerita, seven children and eight grandchildren.
