Ministry congratulates Akeem

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT) have issued congratulations to parathlete Akeem Stewart, following his two-medal performance at the Paralympics in Rio de janeiro, Brazil.

A release from the ministry yesterday said Akeem had pro­ven himself again as one of the top Paralympic athletes in the world. The 24-year-old Tobagonian, who won gold in the javelin one week ago, added a silver medal in the F43/44 discus event at the Games on Friday.
