T&T 7th in World U20 4x1; Sprint double for Boldon-coached WilliamsKwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 14.07.2018Kion Benjamin, Carlon Hosten, Timothy Frederick and Tyrell Edwards combined for seventh spot in the IAAF World U20 Championship men's 4x100 metres final in Tampere, Finland, yesterday. The Trinidad and Tobago quartet got the baton around the track in 39.87 seconds. United States clocked 38.88 to secure gold, forcing Jamaica to settle for silver. The Jamaicans, though, had the satisfaction of leaving the stadium with a new national record, Xavier Nairne, Christopher Taylor, Jhevaughn Matherson and Michael Stephens teaming up for a 38.96 run.
