Telesford bags bronze at Kansas Relays

Trinidad and Tobago’s Dan-Neil Telesford bagged bronze in the men’s 200 metres event, at the Kansas Relays, in Kansas, USA, on the weekend. The Iowa Central Community College sophomore got to the line in 21.76 seconds.

Telesford had advanced to the final as the fastest qualifier, topping heat three in 21.50.

Butler Community College freshman, Abiane Collymore returned a time of five minutes, 08.13 seconds to finish ninth in section three and 37th overall in the unseeded college/open women’s 1500m event.

At the Beach Invitational, in California, North Dakota State University junior, Deborah John finished first in her section and fourth overall in the women’s 100m hurdles in 13.84 seconds.

Wichita State University junior, Samantha Shukla clocked 2:14.87, for 43rd spot overall in the women’s 800m.

In North Carolina, Shawn David finished 15th overall in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Outdoor Championship men’s 400m preliminaries, and did not advance to the final. The University of Maryland senior got home in 48.69 seconds.

At the Mt SAC Relays, in California, Portland State University’s Geronne Black clocked 24.52 seconds to finish sixth in section seven and 37th overall in the university/open women’s 200m. And in the university/open women’s 1500m event, Shukla was 87th in 4:34.08.
