NAAA Junior Open at H/C Stadium

THE National Association of Athletic Administrations (NAAA) will be hosting its two-day Junior Open Championships this weekend at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

The Junior Open will get going at 10 am today and tomorrow respectively, and will conclude at 5 pm each day. There will be competition in the boys and girls Under-18 and Under-20 age groups, excepting the boys octathlon (eight events) and decathlon (ten events), and the girls heptathlon (seven events).

This weekend’s Championships will hold great significance as the top performers can stake a claim for selection on the Trinidad and Tobago team for the IAAF World Youth Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine. The World Youth Championships is slated to take place from July 10-14.
