Smith, John for CAC Age Group

A team of eight athletes will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the July 18-19 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Age Group Championships. The regional meet, featuring more than 30 countries, will be staged at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.

Avindale Smith and Joel Andrews will represent T&T in the boys’ 13-14 heptathlon. Safiya John and Antonia Sealy have been selected for the girls’ 13-14 heptathlon. In the 11-12 category, Daniel Qui and Jordan Pope will compete in the boys’ pentathlon, while Malika Coutain and Xea Bruce have been chosen to fly the T&T flag in the girls’ pentathlon.
