Dandrade, Nero to defend 5k titles

The 12th annual TTARP 5K runs off on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. around the Queen's Park Savannah and a near capacity field of 500 is expected.

The defending champions are Lionel Dandrade of T&T Road Runners Club who clocked 15 minutes 34 seconds and Tonya Nero of Athletics Central who was timed in 18:17.

This year's line-up will feature 2013 champion Kelvin Johnson who placed 4th in last weekend's Courts 10K in Guyana. Female champion in 2012, Celine Lestrade, will also make a return to the race.
