Excellence repeats itself at Cougar’s Awards

Donstan Bonn :: Trinidad Express :: 17.12.2015

The Cougars Athletic Club's 2015 Awards Ceremony and Dinner at the VIP Lounge of the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain on Wednesday could best be described as an evening where excellence repeated itself.

Nineteen year-old middle distance runner Ashton Gill copped his fourth consecutive "Senior Sportsman of the Year" award while Caliyah Wallace, 15, repeated as "Junior Sportswoman of the Year," having copped the inaugural award last year.

The much-improved Jordan Pope dethroned last year's junior sportsman Ethan Forde in earning the "Junior Sportsman of the Year" award while another improving athlete, Kershel Mc Intyre, picked up her first "Senior Sportswoman of the Year" award.
