Jehue Gordon finished second in his first 400 metres hurdles race this season, at the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational, in Florida, USA, on Saturday. The 2013 world champion clocked 50.90 seconds to finish behind American Desmond Palmer (50.58) and ahead of Puerto Rico's Eric Alejandro (51.08).

Yesterday's race was Gordon's first competitive one-lap hurdles outing in more than seven months, his last race in his specialty event having come at the Beijing Worlds last August.
