Selvon bags bronze in opener

Kai Selvon finished third in her first race this season, the Women` s 400 metres at the Auburn Tiger Track Classic, in Alabama, USA recently.

The 2012 Olympic 200 metres semi-finalists clocked (52.64) seconds out of lane six to finish behind Mariam Kromah of Southern Mississippi (52.56) and eventual winner Kenya Woodall of University of Cincinnati (52.12) Selvon will begin the 2016 campaign with a few 400 metres races as a form of strengthening for her major events - the 100 and 200 metres. This was her first competitive race in exactly one year as she was injured for the entire season last year with a grade three pull thigh muscle injury. She was in action yesterday at the War Eagle Invitational which was also held in Alabama
