Waithe strikes gold in Jamaica

Trinidad and Tobago's Shakeil Waithe produced the second best throw of his career, 76.30 metres, to strike gold in the men's javelin, at the Jamaica International Invitational IAAF World Challenge meet, in Kingston, on Saturday.

In a close contest for the top spot, Waithe got the better of Riley Dolezal, the American landing the spear 76.26m.
