Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 14.05.2016

Michelle-Lee Ahye earned silver in the women's 100 metres dash, at the adidas Athletics Boost Meeting, in Germany, yesterday. The Trinidad and Tobago track star clocked 11.07 seconds, her fastest legal time this season, to finish behind American Tori Bowie, the winner in 10.91. Third spot went to Great Britain's Desiree Henry (11.23).

Ahye won her first four 100m races in 2016. She tasted defeat for the first time at last weekend's Jamaica International Invitational, finishing third in a wind-assisted 10.98 seconds, behind Jamaica's Elaine Thompson (10.71) and American English Gardner (10.85).
