Jaquone Hoyte was impressive in the boys' under-20 century, the Barbadian teen storming to victory in 10.41 seconds. Carifta Games 200m champion Akanni Hislop had to settle for silver in 10.57, while bronze went to another T&T sprinter, Jalen Purcell (10.61).

Jada Barker's 12.25 seconds run earned the Cougars athlete gold in the girls' under-20 100m dash. Jeunice Maxime (12.40) and Barbadian Danae Gill (12.44) picked up the minor medals.
