Walcott golden in Portugal - Thompson 2nd to Gatlin in ‘water’ race
Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 06.06.2016Keshorn Walcott struck gold at the Meeting Maia Cidade de Desporto, in Portugal, on Saturday, the reigning Olympic men's javelin champion landing the spear 83.75 metres to lead a one-two finish for Trinidad and Tobago. Shakeil Waithe threw 71.48m to pick up silver.
Walcott had opened his 2016 campaign two weekends ago with a 74.99m throw at the Prefontaine Classic IAAF Diamond League meet in Oregon, USA.
