Kelly-Ann Baptiste and Machel Cedenio earned silver for Trinidad and Tobago at the adidas Boost Boston Games, in Massachusetts, USA, on the weekend.

Running on a specially installed Mondo Track on Charles Street, in Boston's city centre, on Saturday, Baptiste finished second in the women's 100 metres dash in 11.30 seconds. Gold went to American Tori Bowie in 11.03, while bronze was bagged by Jamaica's Remona Burchell (11.42).

Another T&T sprinter, Keston Bledman got to the line in 10.29 seconds on the elevated straight track to claim bronze in the men's 100m. In a keenly contested battle for gold, American Marvin Bracy just got the better of Jamaica's Yohan Blake. Both sprinters were credited with the same time, 10.23.

Cedenio was in action in the opening session of the meet, on Friday, at the Dilboy Memorial Stadium. The T&T quartermiler clocked 44.87 seconds to secure the runner-up spot in the men's 400m, behind reigning world champion Wayde van Niekerk. The South African continued his superb run of form this season, stopping the clock at 44.28. Bronze, meanwhile, went to American David Verburg (44.98).

Another T&T athlete, 2009 IAAF World Championship bronze medallist Renny Quow could only manage a 46.77 seconds clocking, and had to settle for seventh spot.

The lone Caribbean victory at the adidas Boost Boston Games came on Saturday in the men's 150m, Antiguan Miguel Francis winning in 14.93 seconds, from Panama's Alonso Edward (15.10) and American Sean McLean (15.24).
