Sprint champion Bledman settles for bronze

At the same event in the men's 100 metres race, Bledman had to settle for the bronze medal after he clocked 10.29 seconds in the six-man field.

The race was won by American Marvin Bracy in 10.23 second with Jamaica's London Olympics 100-metre silver-medallist Yohan Blake second in with the same time.

On Friday night, in the men's 400m, South African World Champion, Wayde Van Niekerk, who has recently been training in Jamaica with Usain Bolt, won in 44.28, well ahead of T&T's Machel Cedenio who took silver in 44.87 with USA's David Verburg, third in 44.98. T&T's Renny Quow was seventh in 46.77.
