Hackett, Baptiste settle for 2nd, 3rd

Michelle-Lee Ahye was a very confident woman following her victory in the women's 100 metres final at the NAAA NGC Sagicor National Open Track and Field Championships at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain yesterday.

Ahye, who clocked 11.00 seconds in defeating Semoy Hackett (11.07) and Kelly-Ann Baptiste (11.07) to clinch the national title, said following her victory: "After running 10.93 in the semifinal, I was very confident in the final and my goal was to go out there and press but not to press too hard, just drown out everybody and in the end it led to this.
