Yohan Blake was crowned 100 metres national champion in Usain Bolt's absence but it was Elaine Thompson who set tongues wagging as she equalled the national record to win the women's equivalent on the second day of the Jamaica Senior National Championships.

On a dramatic night at the National Stadium on Friday when World and Olympic champion Bolt was forced out the final with a hamstring injury, Blake edged Nicholas Ashmeade to hit the line first in 9.95 seconds.
