Hislop out early - St Fort opens World U20 title bid

Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 19.07.2016

Akanni Hislop exited the men's 100 metres event in the very first round, at the IAAF World U20 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, yesterday. The Trinidad and Tobago sprinter clocked a slow 10.88 seconds to finish fifth in the first of six heats.

Khalifa St Fort opens her bid for women's 100m honours at 6.35 this morning (TT time), in heat one. The 2015 IAAF World Youth Championship 100m silver medallist has been drawn in lane four. St Fort, who has a personal best of 11.16 seconds, should have no problems progressing to tomorrow's semi-final round.
