Silver for Lee Ahye

&T olympic athlete Michelle Lee Ahye placed second in the Women's Final of the 100 metre dash at the IAAF Diamond League (London Anniversary Games) winning silver .

The athlete completed the race with a time of 10.99 seconds and will now head to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to join the rest of Tweam T&T for the pre-Olympic camp.

Yesterday, Keshorn Walcott placed second in the men's javellin event at the the same competition. Walcott, who is the reigning Olympic champion of teh 2008 Games, had a best attempt of 83.60 metres to finish second behind Czech Republic's Jakub Vadlejch, who won with a distance of 85.72 metres.

Another T&T Olympic athlete, Richard Thompson was eliminated in the qualifying round of the men's 100 metres dash, and finished 14th overall.

The pre-Olympic camp is expected to run until August 4. The Olympics take place from August 5 to 21.
