Cedenio, Bledman inspire youths

... pay glowing tribute to coach Persad

Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 20.10.2016

"When I feel the burn, that's when I kick."

Machel Cedenio shared these words of wisdom with a group of 50-plus young athletes at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella, the national record holder revealing the secret of his now famous 400 metres finish.

Cedenio and Keston Bledman are both based in Florida, USA, but have not forgotten their roots, setting aside time, recently, to inspire pre-teen and teen athletes from their home club, Simplex, with motivational talks and drill demonstrations.

Bledman, a two-time Olympic 4x100m silver medallist, paid glowing tribute to Simplex coach Gunness Persad.
