Trinidad Express :: 26.11.2016

Ephraim Serrette was returned as president of the National Association for Athletic Administrations (NAAA) for the next four years at the organisation's AGM yesterday.

The incumbent president won the vote over his former fourth vice-president, Paul Voisin to lead the organisation, at its AGM, held in the San Fernando Room of the Radisson Hotel on Wrightson Road in Port-of-Spain.

George Commissiong also repelled the challenge of Brent Elder for the post of 1st vice-president, while Allan Baboolal also got the nod over Kelvin Sorrillo for the 2nd vice-president spot.

Carlene Haynes also held onto her Treasurer position after receiving more votes than Aisha Martin.

Secretary Dexter Voisin, Paul's brother who went up on the slate for Serrette, and assistant secretary Andre Leung Woo Gabriel were re-elected unopposed.

Four of the directors from the Serrette slate emerged, namely Dawn Washington, Robin Brereton, Durly Lucas and Lucretia Burns. The Voisin (P) slate earned one director in the person of Ronald Barclay.
