Trinidad and Tobago's Jeminise Parris struck gold twice for Central Arizona College at the Puma Indoor Invitational in Arizona, USA, on the weekend.

Parris was dominant in the women's 60 metres hurdles final, winning easily in 8.94 seconds. She was fastest too in the preliminaries, getting to the line in 8.98.

Parris was unchallenged for the top spot in the 60m dash. The 19-year-old athlete clocked 7.89 seconds in the championship race to enjoy a comfortable cushion on her rivals. In the preliminary round, she triumphed in heat two in 7.98.

Parris also competed in the 200m event, finishing first in section one and eighth overall in 27.94 seconds.

Another Central Arizona College student, Portious Warren grabbed gold in the women's shot put with a 15.43 metres throw. And in the weight throw, the 20-year-old T&T field athlete produced a 15.44m effort to seize silver.
