Toco, QRC rule Relay FestivalTrinidad Express :: 20.02.2017Toco Secondary retained the Girls overall and the champions school honours while Queen's Royal College won the Boys overall trophy for another year when the Secondary Schools Relay Festival took place last week. The Toco girls amassed 106 points to beat Bishop Anstey (74), Sangre Grande Secondary (46) and Arima Central Secondary (42) for the top spot. Toco's victory came after collecting five gold medals (Girls Under-14 4x100m, Girls Under-16 4x200m, Girls-Under 16 4x200m, Girls Under-21 4x400m and Girls Open 4x800m); three silver medals (Girls Under-16 4x100m and Girls Under-21 4x200m) and five bronze (Girls Under-14 4x100m, Girls Under-14 and 16 4x60m hurdles, Girls Under-18 4x200m and Girls Under-21 4x100m). The competitors from the school of 2012 Olympic javelin champion Keshorn Walcott, also gained points from fourth placed finishes in the nder-18 4x40m and Open sprint medley.
