Michelle-Lee Ahye produced a fine run at the Jamaica International Invitational IAAF World Challenge meet in Kingston, Jamaica, on Saturday night. The Trinidad and Tobago track star seized silver in the women's 100 metres dash, missing out on gold by the narrowest of margins.

In a tight top-three tussle, fast-finishing Ahye clocked 11.06 seconds, just failing to overhaul Morolake Akinosun. The American sprinter was also credited with an 11.06 run. Third spot went to another American, Allyson Felix in 11.07.

Meanwhile, T&T's Semoy Hackett finished fourth in the women's 200m in 22.87 seconds. The race was dominated by double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson, the Jamaican winning in 22.09 for a big cushion on her compatriot Shericka Jackson (22.61). American Shalonda Solomon (22.64) was third.
