TTOC ready for Queen’s BatonTrinidad Express :: 24.05.2017Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee president Brian Lewis expressed condolences and solidarity with former Commonwealth Games host Manchester yesterday, on the heels of the terror attack that left 22 people dead and dozens more injured on Monday night. While yesterday's media conference at TTOC House was scheduled to focus on the arrival of the Queen's Baton when it touches down at Piarco on Sunday afternoon. Lewis also took time out to empathise with those affected by the attack. "The Commonwealth Games family suffered a horrific and barbaric act, perpetrated by individuals who would have seen it fit to take such action," Lewis said, adding that young people make up 25 percent of the two billion Commonwealth inhabitants. "The Trinidad and Tobago Commonwealth Games Association expresses its condolences to the youth and young people of Manchester City and by extension, the Commonwealth family.
