BLEDMAN’S BOSTON BOOSTVictory too for Baptiste at Adidas GamesKwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 04.06.2017Keston Bledman bolted to gold at the Adidas Boost Boston Games in the United States yesterday. Running on an elevated track on Charles Street between Boston Common and the Public Garden, the Trinidad and Tobago track star sprinted to the line in 10.21 seconds to capture the men's 100 metres title. In the closest of finishes, Bledman and second-placed Akani Simbine were credited with the same time. It was Bledman, though, who got the edge in the photo finish, edging his South African rival by one-thousandth of a second. Bledman has had his share of injury problems in recent years. The win over a quality sprinter like Simbine, therefore, was a big boost for the double Olympic sprint relay medallist in the build-up to the August 4-13 IAAF World Championships in London, England.
