Richards, Walters in NCAA medal hunt

Jereem Richards will bid for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championship men's 200 metres title in Eugene, Oregon, USA, tonight. The Trinidad and Tobago athlete has been drawn in lane five.

Richards was dominant in Wednesday's semi-final round, the University of Alabama student winning heat one in an impressive 20.04 seconds. The clocking was the second fastest of his career, behind the 19.97 personal best he produced at last month's NCAA East Preliminary meet.

Richards was the second fastest qualifier for tonight's final. Christopher Belcher is at the top of the list, the American topping heat three in 20.01.
