Jehue gives backKwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 07.07.2017Jehue Gordon is giving back. On Thursday, the Trinidad and Tobago track star was at his old primary school, Maraval RC, for a presentation to two outstanding pupils. Gordon gave the Maraval RC pupils, Teriem Toussaint and Akeira Leacock, RIK Services Ltd vouchers to assist with the purchase of school books. "Teriem," Gordon told the Express, "is the Victor Ludorum for boys' under-9 this year from Maraval RC. And Akeira won Victrix Ludorum in the 2017 Milo Games. And the crazy thing is that Teriem topped the entire second year for the best academic student." In 2015, Gordon launched his own designer cologne, "Ambition by Jehue". But rather than treat the project as strictly a business venture, the 2013 men's 400 metres hurdles world champion and his local manager, 1964 Olympic 4x400m bronze medallist Edwin Skinner, used the opportunity to make a positive contribution to society. "After we came out with the Ambition product, Mr Skinner and I decided to help two kids, especially with times a little more difficult now. I need to be a shining light to help out the young ones.
