Gittens in Pan Am Juniors heptathlon medal hunt

Akanni Hislop, Jalen Purcell, Tyrell Edwards and Jerod Elcock combined for bronze in the men's 4x100 metres relay at the Pan American Junior Championships in Trujillo, Peru, yesterday. The Trinidad and Tobago quartet got the baton round the track in 39.90 seconds.

The American team, anchored by 100m champion TJ Brock, struck gold in 39.33. And Jamaica produced a 39.74 run to secure silver.
