T&T get 4x4 bronze - Gittens just short at Pan Am Juni

THE Trinidad and Tobago combination of Zidan Martin, Judah Taylor, Terry Frederick and Jacob St Clair captured bronze in the men's 4x400 metres relay at the Pan American Junior Championships in Trujillo, Peru, yesterday. The T&T quartet returned a time of three minutes, 10.36 seconds.

Tyra Gittens just missed out on a second Pan Am Juniors podium finish. Gittens was fourth in the women's heptathlon with 5,229 points—eight short of Canadian bronze medallist Dallyssa Huggins (5,237). Cuba's Adriana Rodriguez totalled 5,733 for a runaway victory in the seven-discipline event. Second spot went to American Ariel Okorie (5,253).
