Richards a 200 medal contender, says Voisin

Jereem Richards will make his IAAF World Championship debut in London, England, next month. But though the Trinidad and Tobago sprinter is a rookie, team manager Dexter Voisin views him as a potential medallist in the men's 200 metres.

On May 27, Richards became only the second T&T athlete, after Ato Boldon, to dive under 20 seconds in the 200. The University of Alabama student produced a 19.97 seconds run at the NCAA Division 1 East Preliminary meet in Kentucky. With that clocking, Richards is joint-sixth on the 2017 world performance list, with Jamaica's Yohan Blake. Richards went on to claim 200m bronze at the NCAA Championships.
