LIVE BLOG: 2017 IAAF World Championship

Twenty-three athletes will fly the Red, White and Black at the August 4-13 IAAF World Championships in London, England. Keshorn Walcott, Michelle-Lee Ahye, Kelly-Ann Baptiste, Jereem Richards and Machel Cedenio are among the Trinidad and Tobago athletes who will bid for individual honours at the global meet.

T&T will also battle for relay medals, and have high hopes for podium success in the women's 4x1 and men's 4x4 events.

Jarrin Solomon, Jereem Richards, Machel Cedenio and Lalonde Gordon struck gold for Trinidad and Tobago in the men's 4x400 metres final in a national record time of two minutes, 58.12 seconds

Good night from the London Stadium, here in England, where we're about five minutes away from the men's 4x400 metres final, the final race at the IAAF World Championships and T&T's last shot at adding to Jereem Richards' men's 200m bronze.

The news from the T&T camp is that Jarrin Solomon comes in for Renny Quow, and will run the leadoff leg in the championship race. Richards will run the second leg with Machel Cedenio handling third leg duties. Lalonde Gordon is the anchorman.

12/08 16:42  T&T women 6th in 4x1 final by Kwame Laurence
T&T finished 6th in the women's 4x100m final. Semoy Hackett, Michelle-Lee Ahye, Khalifa St Fort and anchorwoman Kelly-Ann Baptiste combined for a 42.62 seconds clocking. USA (41.82), Great Britain (42.12) and Jamaica (42.19) earned gold, silver and bronze, respectively.

Keshorn Walcott finished 7th in the men's javelin final. In the sixth and final round, the T&T field athlete threw 81.82m.

Keshorn Walcott goes into the second half of the men's javelin final in 6th spot. Finland's Tero Pitkamaki (86.94m) and Ioannis Kiriazis (84.52m) of Greece edged ahead of Walcott in round three.

12/08 15:45  Keshorn slips to 4th by Kwame Laurence
After round two, Keshorn Walcott is 4th. Czech Republic thrower Jakub Vadlejch moved into second spot with a personal best effort of 89.73m.

Keshorn Walcott landed the javelin short of the 80-metre mark in the second round, and stepped over the line deliberately for a foul.

Keshorn Walcott is 3rd after the opening round of the men's javelin. Only Germans Johannes Vetter and Thomas Rohler bettered Walcott's 84.48m throw, Vetter leads at 89.89m, with Rohler second at 87.08m.

Keshorn Walcott opened his IAAF World Championship men's javelin title bid with an 84.48 metres throw.

12/08 07:10  T&T cruise into men's 4x4 final by Kwame Laurence
Renny Quow, 200m bronze medallist Jereem Richards, Machel Cedenio and Lalonde Gordon earned T&T a spot in tomorrow's men's 4x400m final. The T&T quartet produced a two minutes, 59.35 seconds run for second spot in the second qualifying heat. United States won the race in 2:59.23.

12/08 06:15  Sprint relay men out by Kwame Laurence
T&T missed out on a spot in the men's 4x100 metres final by just one spot, Keston Bledman, Kyle Greaux, Moriba Morain and Emmanuel Callender combining for ninth overall in the qualifying round. The T&T quartet finished fifth in the opening heat in 38.61 seconds.

12/08 05:49  T&T women in 4x1 final by Kwame Laurence
Kelly-Ann Baptiste, Michelle-Lee Ahye, Semoy Hackett and Khalifa St Fort steered T&T into the women's 4x100 metres final with a 42.91 seconds run in the second qualifying heat. T&T finished fourth in the race, but progressed on time.

11/08 15:04  Jereem gets his bronze by Kwame Laurence
Jereem Richards has just received his men's 200 metres bronze medal at the London Stadium. The medal is T&T's first at the 2017 edition of the IAAF World Championships.

11/08 06:28  John crashes out by Kwame Laurence
Deborah John tumbled out of the women's 100m hurdles in the opening round. Running in heat five, the T&T athlete seemed to hurt herself before crashing into the fifth hurdle.

John was the only T&T athlete on today's competition schedule. Tomorrow, Keshorn Walcott bids for honours in the men's javelin final. Also on the Saturday programme for T&T will be the men's and women's 4x100m events, heats and finals, as well as the men's 4x400m heats.

10/08 16:58  Jereem strikes bronze! by Kwame Laurence
T&T secured medal number one at the World Champs here in London, England when Jereem Richards bagged bronze in the men's 200 metres final in 20.11 seconds, the same time clocked by silver medallist Wayde van Niekerk of South Africa. Turkey's Ramil Guliyev captured the title in 20.09.
